Vape Pen

Definition - What does Vape Pen mean?

In terms of marijuana use, pen vaporizers, or vape pens as they are sometimes called, are small, pocket-sized vaporizers that are very much shaped like an e-cig or pen.

Vape pens are easy to use, more discreet, and cheaper than the heftier portable or stationary vaporizers that are on the market. Vape pens are small, refillable, battery-operated devices, which is in contrast to the larger desktop models that are available.

To use a marijuana vape pen, small cartridges, which typically contain cannabis oils, can be found at dispensaries.

People who use vape pens or other vaporizers are said to be vaping, but it's not always clear if they are vaping marijuana, regular nicotine, or just flavoured oils that don't contain any stimulants.

Hydrolife explains Vape Pen

In the recreational and medicinal cannabis industries, a vaporizer is a device that delivers the product in the form of a vapor. It is the process of heating the dried cannabis to just below the temperature of combustion. Waxes and oils infused with cannabis are also commonly used in vaporizers.

The cannabis is heated to about 392°F and at this point a vapor is produced that can be inhaled by the user.

For many medical marijuana users, a vaporizer is the preferred method of delivery, as opposed to smoking a joint or bong, or eating edibles. They are also popular with people who don’t want to inhale the resin that smoking marijuana produces.

Marijuana vaporizers have been around for years, but it is only recently that the full benefits of vaporization have been fully realized.
